Q&A is glad to receive community outreach emails from the community itself to relay to our extended community, so here is one of those emails.  Greetings Community Members, I am sending this message on behalf of the LGBTQ Reducing Disparities Project, Mental Health America of Northern California. We are currently seeking LGBTQQIA individuals who identify as Asian and/or Pacific-Islander to serve as part of the API LGBTQ Advisory group. Attached in this email is an application for the group that explains what the LGBTQ Reducing Disparities Project is, and more specifically, the function of the advisory groups. Application is open to any API LGBTQ constituent that resides in California. Participation in this advisory group means that your input will help the Reducing Disparities Project in developing statewide recommendations that will benefit our community.   Please note that we are primarily searching for members to participate in the API LGBTQ Advisory Group; however, you are more than welcome to also apply for any other group you may be interested in as well. Keep in mind that other groups may have already reached maximum capacity when applying. If you have any questions about this project, you are more than welcome to contact me with your concerns. After filling out your application, please send it to the following address: “LGBTQmentalhealth@att.net” as soon as possible. The current deadline is on a rolling basis until a sufficient amount of group members is selected. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
